Shopping

Old Town of course…

A pleasant walk is along Österlånggatan with its wonderful handicrafts and other small shops. Or along our own Kindstugatan, where you will find Very sweet as you and Studio Lena M. At Edblads, Västerlånggatan 36, you find trinkets of their own design in stainless steel, silver and semi-precious stones.

Food…
Östermalms Saluhall, Östermalmstorg. Feel as though you’ve been transported back a century. Counters filled with delicacies, you can find almost anything from unplucked pheasants to fresh oysters.

Take something home or just looking…
DesignTorget, Götgatan 31 and Sergelgången. Design with a diverse range, often surprising and odd. Efva Attling Studio, Hornsgatan 44. Both the shop and studio design and manufactures its own jewellery mostly in silver and gold. Madonna and Britney Spears wear her jewellery. Slottsboden, the shop in the external courtyard at the Royal Palace. If you like royalty, it’s a must!

We also like…
Götgatsbacken. The area around Götgatsbacken is now called NoFo (North of Folkungagatan) and offers a rich and varied range of designer shops and cafés. SoFo, in the area framed by Folkungagatan, Götgatan, Renstiernas gata and Skånegatan, teem with shops, eateries and bars. Here it is trendy and Hip. Start at Bondegatan.

Children, youth and the rest of us playful human beings…
Buttericks, Drottninggatan 57. A great toy box for old and young alike. Magic items, fancy gadgets, jokes, beads and sequins in a lovely and busy mix. Butiken Livrustkammaren, Slottsbacken 3. For all knights and princesses! Livrustkammarens shop has articles that in some way or another are related to the royal museum collections and temporary exhibitions. Everything from postcards, posters and toys to fine jewellery.
